Is it going to stay like this forever?

So in my last post I was writing from a bus. Let me tell you about the day we had on Tuesday: our flight was scheduled to leave at 6:25am so we woke up at three and were on the bus that we had to chase down the street not to miss. After a sleepy ride to the airport we got there and still needed to print our boarding passes because Ryanair does not accept them electronically. So after waiting in line for 20 minutes the lady told us to go to another place where it will only cost us about five pounds as oppose to 60 a piece if she prints them for us (what airline doesn't print boarding passes for free??) so we get to the computers pay and right when I click print the computer shuts down for no apparent reason. Once it reboots we finally got them printed off a screen shot from my iPhone. We then proceed to wait in line with all of the people checking bags to get a simple stamp that says we are the people in our passports. After the printing fiasco we were running a bit short on time and since the entire world hates Ryanair everyone was in a bad mood and not willing to let us go to the front of the line. We finally get the stamp and run for the security lines which of course are all really long. So we decided to pay five pounds each to go through the fast lane, but of course they decide to search my bag. We then sprint to the train that takes us to our gate and sprint off and up two sets of stairs to the end of the terminal only to be told that we missed the flight and we watched our plane taxi out and take off.

Horrible I know, but I could not have asked for a better travel companion. We looked at each other and just laughed. We headed back to the notorious Ryanair line and had to buy new tickets. We originally bought ones that went to Leipzig, which is south of Berlin, but after Marie's warning decided to switch them to Berlin the following day; not before taking a 4 hour nap on a bench and standing in line again though. So it now being about 4 in the afternoon we buy bus tickets and head back into London to stay at Hayley's one more night. After sitting on her doorstep waiting for her to get home from work we ate some pasta and watched the Olympics until bed time. We watched "A Bug's Life" and went to sleep ready to get up and do it all over again. The next day was the polar opposite. We made it through every line in about 10 minutes and waited around the airport for about 3 hours. We made it to Berlin where we were joyfully greeted by my log lost sister Marie :)

Standing in awe of the simple comforts,

Sigourney
