This has nothing to do with how my week went, but I would like to tell you all that I slammed a cockroach multiple times just minutes ago with my shoe. That's all I have to say about that.
So this past week has been a whirlwind! I arrived just one day after a mission team of 21 from Maryland and worked with them most of the week. A lot of great things were accomplished. Have a look!

| The mission team performed silent dramas in order to share the gospel. In this picture they are sharing with the parents of the CDI children. |

| Here are some of my girls coloring. |
 |
| Not a great picture, but the team built a house for one of the families that have children in the CDI program! |
 |
| Happy Independence Day! Pastor Ivo got us some fireworks to help us celebrate! |

| Here are just a few of the awesome fruits that grow in our yard. Mangos (whole and eaten) and oranges! |

After a long week with the mission team today was such a beautiful sabbath. I spent a good 70% of my day laying in the hammock making wedding plans with Claudia and her fiance, napping, reading, and chatting with my family here. I try to pay attention to every little thing; the view from the hammock, the rooster calling in the distance, the gentle whisper of the waves below, and even the rumble of the buses passing by. Some how I love it all. It makes me feel alive. Most of the other 30% of my day was going for a long walk with Isabel (my host mom), Claudia, and Rafael (her fiance). Just as the sun was going down we headed to the beach to watch the waves roll in. They have been really strong lately and this got me thinking about God's power. I have talked about this theme in past posts, but tonight it went a bit further. I was watching in awe as the waves came crashing in so powerful, and yet they seem to just gently kiss the rocks as the water moved toward land. I felt as though it was a perfect reminder of God's power, but more his grace. We serve an absolutely incomprehensible God. He created EVERYTHING and not a single wave washes in without his command. Not a single breath is taken without his permission. Yet, he ever so gently washes into our lives like the water on the rocks. As the water continually washes over the rocks they become smoother, and more beautiful; less rough around the edges. The same with us. As we are continually washed in his grace, we look a little more like him.
Standing in awe of how I'm being refined,
Sigourney
Sig, may God keep crashing his grace upon you, making you "smoother" and more like him. Bless our sister, Lord Jesus. May you fill her and pour her out and fill her up again as she is serving with You to people you love. Move in El Salvador and in Your church there. Amen.
